Several years ago I stayed in a swanky hotel in Switzerland and in the bathroom they had little bottles of Bvlgari shampoo. It smelled exactly how I figure a rich European would smell. I looked them up and it’s $64 a bottle on Amazon. My current shampoo smells like Pez (the candy), and at the pharmacies all I see are fruity scents or aimed at women. Do any Opponaughts know of the finer points of mens’ shampoo? I want to smell like a rich European again.
Ferrari 335 for your time.

I recommend Mane & Tail. It’s not specifically for men (it was originally designed for animals), but it always does a spectacular job on my hair and always leaves it smelling so good. And not like flowery/fruity good, just, good!

Find an Ulta near you, go to the salon brand hair care section, and sniff shampoo bottles til you find one you like :) the ones near me have products marketed as men’s, women’s, and unisex.
Or alternately find an upscale salon and look at what products they use. I’m a big fan of Pureology shampoo even though I don’t color my hair any more.
ETA they will run a bit more than your average drug store shampoo, but such is the life of the good-smelling. Should still be able to find something under $64 though!

You do know that Shampoo is just shampoo right? Doesn’t really matter the gender it is aimed at, if you like the result and the smell. I’ve been using Aussie shampoo and conditioner, quite good.

I like the way Boots men’s shampoo smells.
That might also have to do with honeymooning in London...

I’ve got a Dove Men’s shampoo that has caffeine and menthol in it. Nice cooling sensation on your scalp from the menthol, which is only a little bit surprising the first time you use it...other places. Recommended though, good shampoo.

If you’re looking pricier but less than $64, the Rosemary Mint Aveda stuff smells good on guys. In my opinion anyway!

My little brother who actually knows things about fashion and has done some modeling got me to try Paul Mitchell Heavy Hitter. It works well and smells awesome - it’s masculine but not trying too hard like Axe. Not as cheap as something you get at CVS, but nowhere near $64. I also Head and Shoulders on days I’m not really dealing with other people and don't need to look/smell good so one bottle lasts me like 6 months.

I want to smell like a rich European again.
easy.
1) stop using deodorant.
2) start drinking lots of coffee.
3) start smoking.

My roommate once had mint shampoo. I remember the tingling sensation!

Real men don’t have time for 2 bottles.

I’ve never heard of Ulta but apparently there are several stores near me. I’ll go check it out, thanks!

I love that one...I’ve been trying to find that shampoo ever since I moved out of America!
No luck :(

Try to find Crabtree and Evelyn or Molton Brown stores near you.
You can find their things online, but you’ll have to get to a store to figure out what smell you like best.
They’re not cheap, but you can definitely do more damage to your wallet with say Tom Ford or Kheil’s (also amazing).

good call because unless you’re bathing in used engine oil daily you probably don’t need a deep cleansing shampoo every day :) I have short hair and only shampoo once or twice a week, but rinse and condition daily.

This stuff in a bit pricey , but it is amazing for your hair. Like actually doesn’t damage it and feels wonderful afterward. I have been using their regular version for a long time, but the have a mens’ version now.
